LPF celebrates International Women’s Day

: LPF celebrates International Women’s Day by giving souvenirs to all the LJ’s mothers in recognition that they have allowed their daughters to study and stand on their own feet. These daughters will not only become strong and fearless but also they will support their families from their earnings.

This is a new India workforce that will be added in next years. The education will also help them not to be the victims of harassment and doing major work for 1000’s of years. Women in India have played a role of slaves not only in their house but also in their society. LPF has also celebrated this day by giving mementos with citations to Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla, Mrs. Nazura Sattar and Principal and Director of Bel-Air College of Nursing and Hospital Sister Lourdu Mary Nagothu.

LPF have given mementos to all the Principals of the school whom Foundation supports in appreciation to their hard work and making young girls stand on their feet. LPF just not stops here; they have felicitated all their staff members on this auspicious day of International Women’s Day. All the counselors of Foundation got mementos at the hands of Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla Foundation. The Foundation also appreciated lady donors and the trainers who have played a very important role in grooming the LF’s, LG’s & LJ’s.

Lastly but not the least this epoch making function was organized by the PA’s 2017. And therefore PA of 2016 & 2017 were also felicitated on this day by giving them souvenirs at the hands of our Chief Guest, Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla. She mentioned in her speech that “we can do almost everything we put our mind to; we can swim the deepest ocean, and climb the highest peak, and also can face adversity and still walk dauntless. All we need to do is just be confident in each and every direction of our life”.

On this occasion the mothers of LJ’s were given awareness program of health care, medical care. The PA’s 2017 also did some skits & song based on girls problems due to their gender. The audience was overwhelmed on this auspicious occasion which was then was then followed by a sumptuous lunch, thus giving a perfect ending to the everlasting momentous International Women’s Day…!
